This video looks at the construction of a SHANGDA hydraulic straightening machine: a stress-relieved welded frame in C-type or gantry form, a hydraulic ram with precise pressure control, adjustable workpiece supports along the bed, and a straight work area sized so long shafts and heavy bars can be positioned and pressed safely. Oversized bed rails and a wide gauge spacing keep frame deflection minimal under load, so the ram force goes into the workpiece instead of the machine.
Ram force is set and held repeatably — essential when coaxing bend out of elastic-plastic steel — and capacities range from general workshop tonnages up to 1000-ton-class frames on 380–480 V three-phase supplies. Dial gauges or optional digital probes give the bend reading; adding CNC measurement upgrades the same frame to automatic operation, as described in our comparison of hydraulic vs CNC vs fully automatic designs.
These machines go to maintenance workshops, steel service centers and builders of heavy equipment who straighten shafts, bars, tubes and welded structures in varied sizes, with beds, tonnage and tooling engineered to order. View the standard platforms in the hydraulic press series.
