This clip is all about the absence of people. A robot — or gantry loader, depending on layout — takes a shaft from the staging rack, places it in the press, and returns the finished piece without a hand touching it. The camera catches the full loop: pickup, seat, measure, correct, verify, place, and the next blank already in the loader's grip when the cycle ends.
That is what allows one operator to tend 1–2 CNC machines or several fully automatic lines rather than standing at one: the machine performs the skilled sequence — scan, calculate, press, verify — while the person handles stock, quality review and changeovers. Light curtains and interlocks make the unattended time safe. The automated sequence itself is documented in the process guide.
High-volume automotive and motor plants run these cells on rotor shafts, armature shafts, axle shafts and transmission parts, often inline with grinding or assembly. Part data flows out with each batch for traceability, and the cells are wired for continuous multi-shift duty. The range of robot-fed and gantry-fed cells is shown under automatic cell range.
If labor cost or night-shift staffing is the driver, send your parts list and shift pattern and we will model the manning change for you at no charge. Contact the Shangda team.
