The clip follows a mixed production batch — several different shaft numbers run one after another without stopping the machine. Each new blank is measured as it enters, so the press does not need to be told what it is; the supports and head adapt to the recipe attached to that station, and corrected parts collect on the outfeed rack at a steady pace through the footage.
Throughput runs at a 20–90 second cadence per shaft; against a manual station that is roughly a 5–10 fold gain, and part of the speed comes from accuracy rather than haste. When the first stroke already lands near target thanks to stored springback data, the machine spends fewer strokes re-pressing each bend. Tier suppliers and repair centres use this style for families of half-shafts, gear shafts and cylinder rods, where frequent changeovers used to eat into throughput.
