This video shows our automatic tubing straightener processing long metal tubes in a continuous through-feed cycle. The tube enters between angled straightening rollers while adjustable support rests staged along the bed prevent sagging and keep the centerline stable. Operators fine-tune roller pressure and support height from the control panel, so thin-wall and thick-wall sections are straightened without creating ovality or surface marks.
A typical cycle takes 20–90 seconds per tube depending on diameter and length, and the machine handles stock from Ø5 mm up to Ø600 mm with lengths from 100 mm to 12 m. Contact or laser probes take 5+ measurement points along long beds — up to 5–8 probes on extended frames — feeding deflection data to the CNC so each bend is corrected automatically. Straightness reliably reaches 0.10–0.30 mm/m for general work and 0.02–0.05 mm on automotive-grade tubes.
Tubing straightened on this machine goes into hydraulic cylinders, construction props, furniture frames, conveyor rollers and automotive structures, where out-of-round or curved tubes cause seal failure, fit-up problems and rejected assemblies. Through-feed handling makes the cell suitable for high-volume tube fabricators and steel service centers.
