Bending operations leave tubes with residual curvature and springback, and this video shows an automatic tube bending and straightening machine bringing bent workpieces back to spec. After bending, each tube is transferred to the straightening station, where probes locate the residual arc and the ram applies counter-bends at the exact high points rather than working the whole part.
The combined workflow completes in 20–90 seconds per piece, handling tube from Ø5–600 mm and lengths between 100 mm and 12 m. Long parts ride on adjustable supports so gravity sag is never mistaken for bend, and the CNC targets TIR of 0.10–0.30 mm/m on standard parts and a tighter 0.02–0.05 mm for the most demanding bent-tube assemblies. The screen in the footage displays the residual arc before correction and the final reading after, making the improvement visible cycle by cycle.
This is the setup used by exhaust and header fabricators, handlebar and frame makers, hydraulic line builders and furniture tube benders — shops that bend in volume and need every formed tube straight enough to drop straight into automated welding fixtures and final assembly without hand fitting.
